A little about the artist Fang:
Chen Kong Fang, better known as Fang, was bornt in the city of Tung Cheng, China in 1931. He was the third son of the engineer Han-Cheng Fang. In 1937, he started drawing with the incentive of his father and, in 1945, he started his studies in sumie and watercoloring with Chang-Zenshen. In 1951, he moved to Brazil with his family and, already in 1954, he started to study painting with master Takaoka. In 1971, he is granted Brazilian citizenship. Fang already participated as a member of the selection and award jury of the Salão Paulista de Belas Artes (1964), and was invited to lecture at the Faculdade de Belas Artes in São Paulo (1972).

The Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo has thirty paintings of Fang. His works are also exposed at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo and at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. Several of his works are in private collections in Brazil and around the world.
